61 years after the last appearance of a Aston Martin in Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel et Lance stroll offered the AMR21, unveiled with great fanfare yesterday, its baptism on the track on the wet track of Silverstone (United Kingdom).
The two teammates were taking part in a promotional shoot with demonstration Pirelli tires. As stipulated in the regulations, they were only able to complete 100 kilometers. Enough to succeed Roy Salvadori and Maurice Trintignant, who had raced with the DBR5 during the 1960 British GP, the English manufacturer's last official outing in F1.
The next stage for Vettel and Stroll will offer much more lenient track conditions since it will be winter testing, held this season in Bahrain from March 12 to 14.
