Vettel and Stroll blame each other after accident

Sebastian Vettel et Lance stroll collided during the return lap of the Malaysian GP. While the pilot Ferrari was in the process of overtaking the Canadian, the latter hit the rear of the SF70H which suffered heavy damage to the rear axle, including a torn off wheel.

If the stewards decided not to impose any sanctions following the incident, the two drivers defended themselves by believing that they were not responsible.

“It’s not my fault if someone decides to get some rubber (for weight control) and hits my car”, commented Sebastian Vettel after the race where he finished in fourth place.

Lance Stroll defended himself by questioning Sebastian Vettel's driving which he said arrived too quickly.

“It was a back-to-school ride. I don't know why he acted in this way, it was no longer the race. My car only suffered one puncture. I returned at slow speed. It was a very strange accident that was not intentional on either of our parts.", declared the eighth-ranked Canadian.

It remains to be seen what damage the Ferrari SF70H suffered. The Scuderia could be forced to change the gearbox if it has been damaged, which would result in a five-place grid penalty at next weekend's Japanese GP at Suzuka.
