Vettel: “A big challenge to master everything” upon arriving at Aston Martin

If his pilot contract Ferrari only ends at the end of the season, Sebastian Vettel is already planning towards 2021 and the new challenge that will be offered to him with the arrival ofAston Martin on the grid on the foundations of the Racing Point formation.

A transfer already announced several weeks ago and which will see the quadruple world champion bring all his experience of F1 to the Lawrence property team Stroll, in order to take a step forward for this team whose car has been talked about a lot this year with a clear resemblance to the Mercedes W10 from 2019.

For the German, the most difficult thing will be to integrate the procedures and way of working of Otmar Szafnauer's troops, after spending six years at Ferrari.

“I think 2021 should be similar in single-seater terms to 2020, but it will be a big challenge to master everything, indicates Vettel on the F1 website. In January, February, I'm going to throw myself into the project and try to make sure that I understand everything that needs to be understood before driving, testing and the first races.

I don't think there's one thing in particular to be honest, or one person in particular to know more than anything else. You will have to get to know the whole team and the pace at which they work, try to establish the differences, and try to help improve things. »

Vettel admitted earlier in the year that he will leave Ferrari without regrets. Hopefully his choice to join Aston Martin will not bring him any.
