Video. The highlight of each GP, from Australia to Hungary (1/2)

Australian Grand Prix
Blocked behind Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) from the start, Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) takes advantage of the disaster at Haas in the 24th round. Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean retired due to a loose wheel when passing through the pits. The virtual safety car is introduced.

Neither one nor two, Ferrari dives towards the pits to change tires. Meanwhile, leader Lewis Hamilton is driving at a very slow pace in the middle of the Melbourne circuit. Bad luck, when the German returns to the track, he maintains a slight margin over the Mercedes ! “They did a better job today. We’re going to have to rethink our plans.”, explained an “incredulous” Lewis Hamilton.

Bahrain Grand Prix
One of the great French satisfactions of this first part of the season is the work of Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso) in Sakhir. The 2 GP2016 Series champion had a full weekend, with the fifth fastest time in qualifying, transformed 24 hours later into an indisputable fourth place:

“We knew that in the race it would be complicated and in the end, there were opportunities that presented themselves. The car was great and I was able to push until the end. We were very fast. For the second Grand Prix of the season, it’s incredible » he then rejoiced.

Chinese Grand Prix
After two rather dismal races, the F1 is stirring in Shanghai, thanks (or because, it's up to you) to the intervention of the safety car. Indeed, Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley clashed at the hairpin and scattered debris.

Went to the pits, losing a minimum of time thanks to this neutralization, Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) is going to do the show at the relaunch. He catches up with the five drivers in front of him including Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) to win the event! “I never win a boring race.”, he declared on the podium. At the time, CARhebdo had searched the reasons for these typical Australian overruns.

Azerbaijan Grand Prix
Was it an accident that broke the bond between Daniel Ricciardo and his employer? By boldly trying to overtake his stablemate Max Verstappen, the No. 3 Red Bull hits the rear of its sister car when braking. The Dutchman having changed trajectory twice at the end of the straight, the incident caused controversy.

« The drivers both admit they screwed up today and will apologize to the team", asserts Christian Horner, Red Bull team principal. Niki Lauda would have for his part reduces the salaries of the two protagonists!

Spanish Grand Prix
Pile-up in the first few hundred meters in Catalonia. Defeated by his teammate Kevin Magnussen, Romain Grosjean remains on the floor to catch up with his car but returns to the track in a plume of smoke. Nico Hulkenberg (Renault) and Pierre Gasly cannot avoid it and the three men give up.

“I thought I could get the car back by accelerating, but there was nothing to do. I don't think things would have happened any differently if I had braked instead of accelerated.", explained the 2011 GP2 Series champion.

Monaco Grand Prix
The strong image of the historic Monaco meeting is the record pole signed by Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian was the first man to go under 1’11” during Saturday practice. A great tour to be found in full:

The next day, the smiling future Renault driver will win despite a worrying loss of power on its MGU-K… Renault :
