You missed the start of the school year Formula 1 in Belgium last weekend? No problem, below are the best moments from the 13th meeting of the 2018 season.
The end of qualifications and the performanceOr with
When the rain gets involved, the spectacle is always intense. The final phase of qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps confirmed this, with a downpour as soon as the pit lane opened then a drying track in the final minutes. Sergio Pérez (Force India), who had taken the gamble of continuing on slick tires, suffered a huge scare by going sliding in the Raidillon!
All nice and sunny at Spa at the moment – that should mean Perez doesn't need to drift through Eau Rouge and Raidillon!!

A few moments later, his teammate Esteban Ocon (Force India) managed to stay on the track to record the third time, his best practice performance of his career. The champion F3 Europe 2014 and GP3 2015 made no mistake and will finish sixth the next day.
The conversation in French between Ocon and Hag
Quadruple world champion Sebastian Vettel handles the language of Molière quite well, the proof in this surrealist extract where the German asks about the future of Esteban Ocon in 2019. The Frenchman does not mention any names, but we can guess that the budgets dispatched by Lance stroll and Sergio Pérez play a major role in Force India's driver duo for next season.
The departure pileup
In distress, Nico Hulkenberg (Renault) violently hits the rear of the McLaren de Fernando Alonso. This is projected on Charles Leclerc (Sauber) and passes within an inch of the Monegasque's cockpit. The Renault driver will be penalized by 10 places on the grid for the next Grand Prix in Italy.
Vettel's joy
Dominant from start to finish, the leader of the Team enjoys standing out from the other drivers by singing along to his team radio. After the finish, the German sang the lyrics of “Red light spells danger” by Billy Ocean; it's nicer than “Blue flags” !
