It is with this car let the international adventure begin for Romain Grosjean. Barely twenty years old, the Frenchman triumphs at the Pau Grand Prix in 2006, under the noses of the British Formula 3 Championship entrants such as Mike conway (today pilot Toyota in LM P1), Bruno Senna (Rébellion driver in LM P1) or Oliver Jarvis (Joest Mazda driver in IMSA).

The following year, he won the F3 Euro Series (six victories), at the time the reference cup in Formula 3, ahead of Sébastien Buemi et Nico Hulkenberg, sorry!

With this beautiful frame, Romain Grosjean will have experienced his first great emotions in Formula 1. Three podiums, including one acquired on one of the most demanding tracks on the calendar (Montreal in Canada) prove that the native of Geneva (Switzerland) has serious driving skills. But his mistakes make the headlines more.

Responsible for a spectacular pile-up at the start of the Belgian Grand Prix, Romain Grosjean is suspended for one race. A few weeks later, when he collided with Mark Webber (Red Bull) in Suzuka (Japan), the latter will give it the nickname of “first-round weirdo”.

It is the car that allows him to get a second chance in F1, an extremely rare occurrence in an ultra-selective sport. On board this team-managed GP2 Ladies, Romain Grosjean shows observers in the paddock that he has matured. When he cannot win (five successes all the same), he is consistent in winning the title.

His triple overtaking maneuver in Barcelona (Spain) remains a model of its kind today:

A few months after becoming disillusioned within the Renault F1 Team (23rd, zero points), Romain Grosjean is relaunching his career in the new FIA GT1 world championship with the Matech Compétition team. In the middle of a field mixing GT experts and ex-F1 drivers, Romain Grosjean led the Ford GT1 to two victories before refocusing on GP2.

The sound of the engine 8-liter Ford V5 developing 600 horsepower still resonates in the hearts of lovers of beautiful mechanics:

Perhaps not the most beautiful decoration of all, but certainly a stunning car! For the last season of V8 blocks, Lotus asserts itself as the main opponent of the ogre Red Bull in the fall thanks to the talent of the Frenchman (six podiums). Romain Grosjean leads the first 24 laps of the Japanese Grand Prix before finishing third.

He even has three podiums between South Korea and India! His strongest impression took place in Austin (Texas) where, adorned with a chrome helmet in honor of Steve McQueen, he was the only one able to stand up to the Red Bulls.
