We are used to it, F1 is a vector of sensations, even emotions that are sometimes uncontrollable. A feeling that we were able to verify once again this weekend during the Bahrain Grand Prix, but not really for the reasons that we could imagine. Surely pumped up by the arrival of a compatriot driver in F1, the Chinese commentators got completely excited when Guanyu-Zhou exceeded a Lewis Hamilton in agony leaving the pits, shod with hard tires not really up to temperature. A sequence that is worth the detour.
Speed up, speed up!
It's not every day that you have the opportunity to overtake a seven-time world champion on the track, you have to admit. Even more so during his very first race in F1. But the sequence is enough to make you smile, when we know that Lewis Hamilton just came out of the pits with white tires that were expected to be very ineffective this weekend. A phenomenon accentuated by the new technical regulations, which now provide for heating blankets at a maximum of 70° for slick tires. Enough to make the first turns of the wheel very complicated.

In difficulty in the first turns coming out of the pits, Hamilton therefore saw in his mirrors theAlfa Romeo of Guanyu Zhou get closer, before literally dropping him off a few hectometers away. Fortunately, the Briton was quick to reverse the trend and move up the rankings little by little, until he secured a welcome, but unexpected to say the least, podium. For his part, the Chinese driver made a remarkable debut, concluding his very first F1 Grand Prix in 10th position, synonymous with his first career point. A performance to be highlighted all the same for the only rookie on the 2022 grid, although the chosen extract is ready to raise a smile.
