Directed by Frank Simon, this film takes you behind the scenes of the Formula 1 in order to understand the professional and technical aspect. The opportunity to enter the intimacy of Jackie Stewart during the 1971 Monaco Grand Prix.
Roman Polanski, the initiator of this feature film, actually had the chance to spend a full weekend in the company of the Scotsman Stewart, then at the top of his art, in the Principality of Monaco. A rare moment that Polanski wanted to show on screen.
At the end of the film, the two friends, Polanski and Stewart, meet again 40 years later to discuss a sport that has evolved greatly. A funny, touching and moving film to discover in theaters today.
