With a new driver (Bruno Senna who replaces Rubens Barrichello), a new engine manufacturer (Renault which succeeds Cosworth), a new car and a change of personnel, Williams has all the elements in hand to turn the page on the disappointing 2011 season. Mark Gillan, the British team's chief engineer, is convinced that this new direction taken by his team is the right choice to reverse the trend. Another year without convincing results would be a real snub for the English team.
“We are waiting for the start of the season with real impatience”, confirms Mark Gillan. “The factory worked really hard all winter on the design, construction and testing of the car. We have worked closely with our partners, including Renault Sport F1, to achieve high-level standards. We will use the full potential of the FW34 with our drivers to ensure the Australian event. It is imperative that we show consistent improvement in our performances and results throughout the season. »
