Williams keeps his hand

Frank Williams wanted to reassure all of motorsport Great Britain. Even if the press release announcing the entry of Christian ?Toto? Wolff in the capital of the team, many began to believe that Frank Williams was ready to hand over the reins. The boss of the Grove stable therefore answered the main questions by affirming that he remained the boss, Toto wolff having entered the capital up to a range going from 10 to 49% of the shares.

« I have no intention of stopping my involvement in the stable or selling my activity F1 “, declared Franck Williams, quoted by autosport.com. “ I cannot say more clearly that Toto is a minority shareholder. The company is still under my control and I will not relinquish management until I am completely gone. Toto will however be able to help us in the search for sponsors. »

The team will therefore keep the same name and the same organization chart in the years to come. This end of the season is, however, significant for Williams F1, which has changed engine manufacturer to equip its single-seaters, while renewing its driver duo.
