The stable’s parent company Williams, Williams GP Holdings, confirmed this Tuesday the sale of the majority of shares in its Advanced Engineering division to the entity EMK Capital.
Launched in 2011, Williams Advanced Engineering employs more than 300 people and collaborates in particular with major manufacturers such as Nissan or Aston Martin. Motorsport is also part of the portfolio of activities with the design of the first batteries of the Formula E at the launch of the discipline.
“EMK will also invest funds directly into Williams Advanced Engineering to support and accelerate its long-term growth, including the commercialization of various technology opportunities, states the press release.
Williams will continue to maintain a significant minority interest in the Williams Advanced Engineering business. The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks. »
