Williams Racing strengthens in engineering

Williams Racing has strengthened its Engineering department after a 2014 season which proved very promising for the future since the British team took third place in the Manufacturers' Championship. Andrew Murdock has been promoted to Chief Engineer of the Performance division. Dave Robson will replace him as Felipe Massa's race engineer after having held the same position at McLaren for Jenson Button. Carl Gaden becomes chief engineer of the car's on-board systems after spending 22 years as chief mechanic. Mark Pattinson will take his place after serving as the Brazilian driver's first mechanic.

« Williams is determined to stay on this positive path in this new season and these recent changes prove that we intend to achieve this., commented Pat Symonds, the technical director of the British team. “We are proud to promote our staff to strengthen the different sectors of competitiveness where our engineering team is involved. We will also continue to invest in new talent to ensure we have the support and resources needed to achieve our on-track goals for 2015 and beyond. »
