The provisional list for the 24 Hours of Nürurgring scheduled for September 26 and 27 shows 102 cars, compared to more than 150 usually. 32 crews will compete for victory.

102 cars at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring

The health crisis has wreaked havoc among regulars at the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring. Only 102 cars appear on the first entry list revealed on Tuesday, compared to more than 150 in 2019.

On September 26 and 27, the race should still keep its promises since 31 GT3s will be taking part. German brands, for whom the race is of enormous importance each year, will travel in large numbers.

Porsche will be the manufacturer most represented in quality. Its eight cars will be able to play for victory, with several French people in the seats.

Romain Dumas will drive both KCMG team cars. He will accompany Richard Lietz, Dennis Olsen and Patrick Pilet in the No. 18 and Alexandre Imperatori, Josh Burdon, Edoardo Liberati in the No. 19.

Kevin Estre will also play for victory at Porsche within Frikadelli Racing with Michael Christensen, Maxime Martin and Matt Campbell.

Matthieu Jaminet and Julien Andlauer will ride with Manthey Racing alongside Matt Campbell and Lars Kern.

Audi is also fielding eight cars including three officials driven by a mix between the drivers of the GT World Challenge Europe and the DTM. Jules Gounon will be at the wheel of a Phoenix Racing team car with Kim-Luis Schramm, Michele Beretta and Jamie Green.

Mercedes for its part, enters seven cars, entrusted in particular to the Haupt Racing team. The GetSpeed ​​team is also entering three cars, including one with a strong French accent. The inseparable Emmanuel Collard and François Perrodo will share the wheel with Matthieu Vaxivière and Christer Jöns.

BMW will line up four official crews composed on the same model as Audi, plus a car with a Pro-Am line-up.

And apart from the Germans? Eyes will turn to the all-new SCG 004 lined up by the Team Cameron Glickenaus. Accidented from the start in their first race two weeks ago, Thomas Mutsch, Franck Mailleux and Felipe Fernandez will try to fight for the first places.

Konrad Motorsport could also spoil the party with a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 entrusted to Franck Perera, Axcil Jefferies, Marco Mapelli and Michele Di Martino.

Note the presence of the eternal Opel Mantra, which has been the attraction of the race for years.
