Andy Priaulx plays Rob Huff in race 3 in Macau

Andy Priaul has been waiting for him for ages, but here he is back at the top of the podium in Macau, after his victory in race 3 of the WTCR this Sunday.

Starting from pole, Rob Huff (Volkswagen Golf – SLR) was less quick to take action than Priaulx, who moved into first position despite a small clash between the two drivers.

Suivent Jean-Karl Vernay (Audi RS 3 LMS – Audi Sport Team Leopard), Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Golf – SLR), Thed Björk (Lynk&Co 03 – Cyan Performance), Nick Catsburg (Hyundai i30 N – BRC Lukoil Racing), Yvan Muller (Lynk&Co 03 – Cyan Racing) et Yann Ehrlacher (Lynk&Co 03 – Cyan Performance) au terme de la première boucle.

At the front, Huff puts pressure on Priaulx but the Briton will never be able to attempt an attack on the leader who wins his first victory in Macau since 2007 and the end of his golden period with BMW in the WTCC.

Huff and Vernay completed the podium ahead of Kristoffersson, Catsburg and Muller, Björk having once again played the team game to allow Muller to glean a position at the checkered flag. Yann Ehrlacher finished 8th ahead of Esteban Guerrieri (Honda Civic – Münnich Motorsport). Aurélien Panis (Cupra TCR – Comtoyou Cupra Racing) finished his position in 23rd place.

Guerrieri is nine points behind Michelisz, still leader of the championship with 316 points, when Muller came back to 11 points behind the Hungarian before a Sepang final which will be very decisive for the awarding of the title.
