While the rain plays spoilsport, Dries Vanthoor in the No. 15 Audi still holds off Fabian Schiller in the Mercedes #3. The second Mercedes, driven by Frenchman Jules Gounon, is in third place, on a different strategy with recut slick tires. The German driver had returned very close to the Belgian leader before the latter regained some room for maneuver. The #20 Schubert Motorsport BMW with Jesse Kurki-Suonio, Alexander Sims, Jens Klingmann and Niklas Kruetten fell to sixth.

As a reminder, many contenders abandoned the event, notably the Porsche n°1 of Manthey Racing, the BMW n°98 and 99 of ROWE Racing or even theAston Martin n°90 of TF Sport.
There are three hours of racing left to go in this 50th edition.
