Audi Sport customer competition enters 2022 with 18 drivers for its GT3 and World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) programs. Three young talents were recruited this winter: Gilles Magnus (22 years old), Luca Engstler (21 years old) and Ricardo Feller (21 years old).

The Belgian and German stand out in Touring, with Engstler winning the WTCR junior title in 2021 and Magnus the WTCR Trophy the same year. He was furthermore the first private driver to win an event with the new Audi RS 3 LMS during the season with the Comtoyou team.

A Frenchman is on the list: Auvergne Nathanaël Berthon, responsible for the development of the RS 3 LMS last year. Furthermore, Nico Müller, winner of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2015 and René Rast (three-time champion of DTM) will help the previously mentioned drivers.

In exchange, Mike Rockenfeller and Rahel Frey leave the Audi Sport badged driver line-up. “We would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their commitment. They have been exceptional ambassadors and have shaped our brand image around the world,” said Chris Reinke, the head of customer competition for the German brand. “We wish them both every success in their future careers. »
