Toyota aims to expand its sporting activities in the short term. Indeed, the Japanese manufacturer should be more present in races on the Old Continent soon.
At the conference to present its sports plans for the national series this Tuesday, Toyota mentioned a return to the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring by 2025. Thus, the Japanese firm confirmed its participation in certain rounds of the 2024 Nürburgring season Endurance Series (NLS) with the aim of participating in the Green Hell double clock the following year.
The selected dates have not been revealed but Toyota is expected to rely on its official drivers Giuliano Alesi, Hiroaki Ishiura, Kazuya Oshima, Kazuto Kotaka, Naoya Gamo, Shunsuke Kohno, Masahiro Sasaki, Sho Tsuboi, Takamitsu Matsui and Kenta Yamashita, in more from the boss Akio Toyoda.
As for the car, the hydrogen-powered GR Corolla H2 Concept could be requisitioned as part of Toyota's zero-carbon ambitions. But for now, we have to wait for the manufacturer, preferring to wait in order to properly develop its project and thus properly prepare for the future of the brand.
