Geraci and Favre set their pace in Alpine Cup

The first driver to score two pole positions this season, Geraci (Chazel Technologie Course Junior) started Race 1 ahead of Léo Jousset (Race Cars Consulting) and Romain Favre (VPS Racing). Despite the pressure from his opponents, Geraci also became the first double winner of the season by getting the better of his teammates, Lorens Lecertua and Alexis Garcin, in a podium monopolized by the Juniors of Chazel Technologie Course. Sunday morning, it was Favre who started from pole position ahead of Garcin and Geraci. The pole-sitter retained first place during an eventful start. The intensity was increasing, but Favre managed to outrun Garcin just before the deployment of the safety car due to Geraci's spin at the exit of Blanchimont. The debates were then neutralized until the checkered flag. Junior Romain Favre and the VPS Racing team thus offer themselves their first victory in Alpine Elf Europa Cup. Despite his scoreless score on Sunday, Geraci retains control of the general classification, but the leader is only nine points ahead of his closest rival, who is none other than Favre. The competitors of theAlpine Elf Europa Cup will meet for the fourth of six meetings on the calendar on the Dijon-Prenois circuit (June 16-18). After the postponement of the second event scheduled at Magny-Cours, three races will exceptionally take place on the other emblematic track of Burgundy.
