The ROSCAR GT Challenge, an FFSA-certified championship, has made conviviality its starting point. This year it celebrates its twentieth anniversary with still the same multi-brand GT layout. The competitors met at Vigeant, on the Val de Vienne circuit in the Vienne department (86) last weekend for the third stage of the 2023 season.

With changing weather, the participants prepared for the races in the best possible way, testing dry and wet tires, and for some the new version of wet tires provided by series partner Pirelli.

Among the many Porsche present on the track, there were three 992 Cups this weekend, driven by Anthony Beltoise and Regis Rego de Sebes (#28 – 911 Impact), Karl Vandewoestyne (#1 – 2BAuto) and Sébastien Desoille (#75 – 911 Impact) . A good quality of driving and cars for races which promised to be exciting and competitive.

In qualifying, Anthony Beltoise showed that he had not come to make up the numbers from the first qualifying sessions and placed the #28 in pole position for Race 1, ahead of Karl Vandewoestyne and Thomas Badel. The second race saw the young Karl Vandewoestyne in pole position ahead of Thomas Winkler (#43) and Sébastien Desoille.

The sky is overcast when the race direction waves the green flag to start the only formation lap of the first race of the weekend. After a sublime fight on the track with Anthony Beltoise, Karl Vandewoestyne victoriously crossed the finish line to win the first race of the weekend, despite brake problems which caused him severe leg pain. He was followed by the #43 of Thomas Winkler who won his class. Sébastien Desoille climbed to the 3rd step of the podium after making life difficult for Régis Rego de Sebe, teammate of Anthony Beltoise.

The second race of the day once again offered great battles between the protagonists at the top of the table. Anthony Beltoise animated the race after taking the wheel of the #28 in 9th position after his teammate's stint. The multiple champion led a strong comeback to join Vandewoestyne, Winkler, Badel, Desoille and finish the race just off the podium in front of Sébastien Desoille.
