  • Brodie Kostecki starts from pole position with David Reynolds at his side (Whole grained racing) confirming the renewed form of the Ford Mustangs.
  • The start is a little hectic but nothing to report at the front of the peloton. A collision in the final lines will lead to the safety car making its first appearance.
  • Shane van Gisbergen is far away at the moment, 10th, but the Kiwi is a specialist on urban circuits and could well move up later in the race.
  • When the debates were restarted, Kostecki managed to maintain the advantage. Chaz Mostert (Walkinshaw Andretti United) is unleashed, he is 3rd in the race after getting rid of Matt Payne (Grove racing). Like the day before, four Mustangs appear in the top 5.
  • Cam Waters (Pickford Racing), the winner from the day before, is currently in 8th place in the race. At the front, Kostecki was unable to break away from Reynolds but did not seem to be perturbed by the pressure from the No. 26 golden Mustang. On the 10th lap, van Gisbergen moved up to 8th position after passing Waters who offered him no resistance.

  • In the fight for places on the championship podium Will Brown (Erebus Motorsport) is 7th and Broc Feeney, who was 3rd arriving in Surfers Paradise, is currently 13th in this 26th race of the season.
  • Shortly before the refueling window opened, Kostecki gave himself a little breathing room by increasing his gap with Reynolds. He has a little more than a second lead on the 21st lap.
  • Van Gisbergen continues his comeback, he is 6th. For the moment, his lead obtained during the previous race is reduced to nothing since Kostecki is in the lead of the round. On the 28th lap, the leader makes his pit stop. The Triple Eight car makes its stop on lap 32. This race will still be decided on rubber economy and fuel consumption.
  • The ranking is as follows after the first stops: Kostecki, Payne, Reynolds, Mostert, Waters and SvG. Waters and Mostert will offer a superb battle for 4th place on the 39th lap, the Tickford car takes over the WAU car. it's van Gisbergen's turn to try to enter the top 5, passing Mostert. It will take 2 laps for van Gisbergen to overtake the No. 25 Mustang.
  • At the head of the race, the Grove Racing drivers exchanged places, Reynolds taking 2nd place from Payne. Kostecki leads the race with more than 2 seconds on this duo.
  • Halfway through the race Waters came back into contact with Matt Payne, the perfect weekend would be another podium finish for the Tickford driver. On lap 50, the black Mustang was 3rd in the race.
  • On the 55th lap, van Gisbergen enters the pits, triple Eight could have played a bad trick on his opponents and allowed the New Zealander to get on a new podium this Sunday.
  • The successful operation of these refuelings goes to Grove racing who managed to place David Reynolds at the head of the race. Kostecki is right in his wake at less than a second. For 4 laps, the two men engaged in a superb duel for 1st place in the race. On the 72nd lap, Kostecki took control of the race after a clean and efficient overtake. 2 laps later, Reynolds took advantage of a small error from Kostecki to put himself back in control of this race.

  •  6 laps from the checkerboard, the safety car returned to the track to evacuate Scott Pye's car after contact with the wall to avoid another competitor.
  • The race is restarted 4 laps from the goal. Reynolds restarts the pack with Kostecki and Waters on his heels.
  • David Reynolds will resist until the checkerboard and offer victory to his Grove Racing team. Kostecki is 2nd ahead of Waters. Van Gisbergen 6th.
  • In the championship standings, Kostecki retains the overall lead at a meeting at the end of the season. With a 131-point lead over Shane van Gisbergen, he could soon celebrate his first title on the streets of Adelaide at the end of November.
