The affair surrounding Brodie Kostecki continues to take on significant proportions. A little more than a week after the information from the Australian media concerning his withdrawal from the opening of the Supercars season at Bathurst, then the defection of several sponsors within the Erebus Motorsport team, he is quite simply the CEO of the championship who spoke.

In an open letter to fans on the Supercars website, Shane Howard was keen to expose his role in this story. “This situation, between Brodie Kostecki and Erebus Motorsport, has not yet been resolved. For this reason, none of the parties involved will comment on this matter at this time. We respect the rights of all parties, including their freedom to resolve issues confidentially. Efforts continue to facilitate and encourage the parties to find a practical and feasible solution in the best interest of all stakeholders.

The current circumstances are ultimately a matter between the owners and management of Erebus Motorsport and their contracted driver, Brodie Kostecki. Supercars has offered its full support to all parties and will continue to do so. »

The CEO of Supercars has also confirmed the absence of Brodie Kostecki from the Bathurst round. The pilot is not in an excellent state of health according to rumors disclosed by the reference media SpeedCafe. The morale of the outgoing champion would be damaged by this bickering which started several months ago, following an internal conflict with members of the Erebus Motorsport team.
