Three Ford Mustangs start from the first three places in the last race. Chaz Mostert (Walkinshaw Andretti United) scored his first pole since 2021. Unfortunately for him, this will not be enough to win his first race of 2024. At the start of the race Matt Payne (Whole grained racing) takes control of the race followed by Mostert and Nick Percat (Matt Stone Racing). The first two drivers will make an error following contact caused by Mostert. Percat sees the door open and the driver of the number 10 Camaro takes the lead. The Triple Eight drivers starting a little further away begin a wise climb.

Following the contact between Mostert and Payne, Broc Feeney is the first to get back on the provisional podium. A few turns later, he places an unstoppable attack on Percat. But the latter responds, he recovers his property not without having been in contact with Feeney's 88. The battle between the first two allows Will Brown to get back on his teammate. The new recruit Triple Eight will overtake the priority and overtake his young teammate. Brown and Feeney conclude a thunderous weekend for the Brisbane team with 3 victories in 4 contested rounds (2 Feeney and 1 Brown). Will Brown, who reached his 4th podium of the weekend, retains the lead in the general classification by 17 points ahead of Feeney.

The next round of the Australian Supertouring Championship will take place from April 19 to 21 on the Taupo track.
