Who said Australian Supercars was boring? Despite Shane van Gisbergen's (Holden) tenth victory this year this Saturday July 9, the Antipodes championship saw its fourth different winner in the last four races of the 2022 season!
However, the game did not look easy for the New Zealander. Back in Australia after his excursion to 24 Hours of Le Mans in GTE Pro with a Ferrari, the two-time Supercars champion made a late pit stop, relegating him from first to eighth place.

Shane van Gisbergen erased a gap of 17 seconds on the lead of the race but thanks to a wait-and-see tactic, he was able to attack relentlessly until the finish. It was fair, as the duel with Will Davison was won with only four laps to cover. “The fight with Will was fun. His trajectories were great to see, he drove very well,” said the winner.
