Blancpain – Team WRT wins the titles, Hexis wins

The fight between Team WRT and Marc VDS Racing was won by the semi-official Audi team even if the Leinders-Palttala-Martin team will certainly have the feeling of having had their wings clipped. This fight for the Drivers and Teams Championships will have been fought behind the McLaren MP4-12C of Frédéric Makowiecki, Stef Dusseldorp and Alvaro Parente who dominated both in qualifying and in the race. Philippe Dumas' team had already shone with the Dutchman and the Frenchman on the Spanish track, winning this season in the FIA GT1 World.

The safety car preceded a red flag synonymous with the end of relief for Team WRT which had optimized its chances of coronation by entering a third Audi driven by Frank Stippler, Oliver Jarvis and Filipe Albuquerque. The No. 6 finally took the last step of the podium while the sister car No. 1 of Stéphane Ortelli, Christopher Haase and Christopher Mies ranked second, which allowed the crew to beat its opponents Bas Leinders, Markus Palttala in the Championship. and Maxime Martin entered in the Marc VDS Racing BMW Z4 which failed in fourth position. Bitterness reigns within Marc van der Straten's team which had managed to grab the places starting from 15th position following a penalty of ten places on the grid and hoped to resume the R8 LMS ultra by taking advantage of a BMW more efficient in the rain.

ART GP allows another McLaren to win in Pro-Am with the No. 12 of Grégoire Demoustier and Duncan Tappy. But the title once again goes to Louis Machiels and Niek Hommerson after securing sixth place in the category at the wheel of the Ferrari 458 Italia n°52 from AF Corse.
