Blancpain – Martin Plowman joins MRS GT-Racing

Accustomed to endurance races, and former winner of the LM P2 Drivers’ Trophy in WEC in 2013 with OAK Racing (with a victory in the category at Le Mans that same year), the Briton Martin Plowman will be aligned with the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 of MRS GT-Racing in Blancpain Endurance Series this season, alongside Sean Walkinshaw and Craig Dolby, already confirmed for the entire Blancpain GT Series season.

“I know what Nismo can do. I owned their engine during my successes in the World Championship so I expect great things from the new Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3, indicates the 27-year-old pilot. The car looks great, handles well and I'm super happy with the program put together by MRS and JRM Group (who builds the car, Editor’s note). Looking at the entry list, it's going to be a tough year, but I'm sure the others are looking at it too and I think we're on their 'tough to beat' list. The Blancpain series takes us to fantastic circuits, with more than 20 cars in the Pro class. These are races that any team, and any driver would be proud to win, especially the 24 Hours of Spa. It’s a race that I would like to add to my CV alongside Le Mans. »

Official tests for the Endurance Series are currently taking place on the Paul Ricard track in the Var. The first round will take place in Monza in Italy, on April 11 and 12.
