Dorian Boccolacci selected for the Porsche Shoot-out: “I’m not going there to make up the numbers”

Congratulations on this nomination! What do you feel ?

That's good but it's not the end goal! I'm happy to have this chance but I don't plan to stop there. This is the first step and I hope to succeed in the second. I'm not going there to make up the numbers. I will put all the chances on my side. 

What qualities will you use there?

I think I'm a pretty complete driver. I have a lot of experience having done car at a high level, the 24 hours of Spa or the Andros trophy. I think having my state coaching diploma will help me. By having followed this training, I learned that you need to know how to communicate well with others. This is important when you are going to share the car with a Gentleman driver for example. The role of the Pro is to know how to motivate him, give him advice, and I know how to do that. 

There will be eleven pilots during the shoot-out. Who do you think are your main opponents?

The drivers I battled with in the Supercup. I'm thinking of Bastian Buus and Harry King mainly. But you have to be wary of everyone, even those you don't know.

Qu’est-ce que ça vous apporterait d’être le Junior Porsche 2023?

I will already have a foothold with a manufacturer. I have never had a contract of this type except with Audi for a single race. It's not a professional contract but it's the best way to get one. Many Porsche drivers have been there. I will ride another year in the Supercup to perform. By being a Porsche Junior, I will have a clearer vision of my future, which is what I need right now.
