Farfus makes a good deal

Augusto Farfus, at the end of the Brands Hatch weekend, is doing fantastically well. During the first race, after being the cause of Yvan Muller?s exit, he placed eighth, securing pole position in the second race. At the start, the Brazilian took off and saw Jörg Müller, getting the better of Tiago Monteiro, join him. After the rebalancing of the handicaps, the Seat Leon TDi are lagging behind, and the BMW duo which escapes in the lead already has nothing to fear. The fight is taking place behind.

Yvan Muller, who benefited, after his accident in the first race, from the good work of his team to recover a competitive car, started from 24th position. Lap after lap, he claws his way back to the middle of the pack. At the front, Monteiro is overtaken by Rydell, Priaulx trying to take advantage of the Seat fight to get in front. Too greedy, the Briton was overtaken by Tarquini, who was on the lookout. The Italian, second in the general classification, knows that Yvan Muller is far behind and that the points he can score will count at the end of the season.

While the two leading BMWs experienced no problems, Priaulx's put pressure on Tarquini, hitting the Seat's bumper several times. The Italian resisted very well and, approaching the finish, benefited from the help of Rydell to recover third place. Far from it, Yvan Muller returns to the gates of the top 8, overtakes Boardman then Monteiro and gleans two points. Units which allow it to keep a more comfortable lead at the top of the championship. However, Farfus, who won and took ten points, came back six points behind the French leader. Tarquini, who collected six points, keeps his second place overall, five points behind Muller. With only four rounds remaining before the end of the season, the fight between Muller, Tarquini and Farfus is far from over.
