Farfus is already taking his place

Augusto Farfus arrived in Macau with unfailing determination. Determined not to let himself be undermined by the gap he has in the general classification over Gabriele Tarquini and Yvan Muller, the Brazilian started the weekend in the best possible way.

Augusto Farfus, at the wheel of his BMW 320si, was the only driver to go under 2 seconds, with Jörg Müller (BMW) and Robert Huff (Chevrolet) managing to take less than a second back. Beyond that, the gaps widen and the first Seat Leon TDi in the ranking are those of Rickard Rydell, fourth, and Yvan Muller, fifth. WTCC leader Gabriele Tarquini is seventh.

The drivers are now focused on Friday, where each of the title contenders (Tarquini, Y. Muller, Farfus) must not miss out if they want to maintain a chance of being titled. Two free practice sessions (1h45 and 5:15am French time) are on the programme, with qualification taking place from 8am until 9:40am. If victory will only be decided on Sunday, during the two races of the Macau Grand Prix, the qualification could already make a first selection among the favorites.
