The announcement was expected, given that the watch brand owned by the Swatch group had no longer appeared since July on all official SRO Motorsports presentations, and that several logos had recently been removed from SRO Motorsports logistics trucks.
Blancpain will no longer be the main partner of the entity headed by Stéphane Ratel, after a little over ten years of collaboration, with the sponsorship of the various GT3 championships (in Endurance Cup since the launch of the championship in 2011 then the GT World Challenge Europe, Asia and America, Sportsclub, etc.).
Blancpain had also supported the Reiter team, the tuner having presided over the development of the Sant'Agata Bolognese racing GTs, before the creation of the Squadra Corse in the 2010s.

No information has yet filtered out on a possible replacement for Blancpain for the next season, the GT3 series should for the moment be simply titled GT World Challenge.
