Garage 59 confirms its move to Aston Martin

The British structure will enter a new Vantage GT3 in the Pro category, as well as another example in the Am Cup over the five rounds on the programme, including the 24 Hours of Spa at the end of July.

In addition to these European events, the Intercontinental GT Challenge rounds at Suzuka and Kyalami should be on the menu for the Garage 59 drivers, which have yet to be confirmed.

A driving session planned at Paul Ricard (Var) this week will, however, see Chris Goodwin, Andrew Watson and Jonny Adam (the latter being an official Aston Martin driver) take their places in the Vantage.

“We are delighted with our new partnership with Aston Martin and very much looking forward to working with them, comments Andrew Kirkaldy, manager of Garage 59, who saw Tim Mullen leave for FF Corse.

The Vantage GT3 is promising. So we have high hopes for the coming season. We can't wait to get our first Vantage GT3 on track at Paul Ricard and begin the work we need to do to ensure we are competitive when we arrive at Monza for the first race in April. »

In addition to Garage 59, R-Motorsport is expected to be Aston Martin's other major representation in the Blancpain GT Series this season.
