GRT displays its ambitions for 2021 and the future

IMSA, ADAC GT Masters, GT World Challenge Europe. The 2021 program for the Austrian GRT team once again remains extensive, even if its presence on the SRO Motorsports scene has been reduced to just one car (in the Silver Cup) in 2021.

GT3 indeed retains all its appeal for Team Principal Gottfried Grasser, who intends not to let the big upcoming events in the category pass by. “We will have a second car for Spa, lined up in the Pro category, confided the Austrian in the Italian paddock of Monza, going in the direction first team announcements for 2021.

The 24 Hours remains the thing missing from our list of achievements in this championship. We have a long history with this race, and often been in a position to win without success. We need to check this box. »

Always a fan of the events and the spirit of American racing, the team manager, whose base across the Atlantic has moved from Florida to Detroit near the premises of Squadra Corse, also does not hide certain ambitions for the future. more or less immediate.

“We have the option of GTD Pro next year in IMSA, Grasser explains. We will decide later in which series we will play in Europe. Currently, ADAC is a better choice due to date conflicts with the United States.

Le Mans is also a subject of discussion. This remains the ultimate goal and in the next two years a lot will change. In Europe, the economic aspect risks having a big impact. Prototype is also an option. But I always say not to forget where we come from, so we will stay linked to our favorite brand, it's something I want to keep. »

Gottfried Grasser does not shy away from also going through the LM P2 box, without however wanting to definitively leave GT3, a concept in which the Austrian firmly believes.
