56 entered in the 24 Hours of Spa

Sixteen cars fewer than in 2019. The entry list for the 24 2020 Hours of Spa has suffered a significant drop due to the health crisis. But the quality and especially the number of manufacturers present remains high despite the context.

On October 24-25, the flagship race of GT World Challenge Europe and Intercontinental GT Challenge will see 28 cars battle it out for overall victory.

As usual, Audi is also coming in force with five cars in Pro. The essential Team WRT, two cars, and Saintéloc, one car, will be joined by Attempto Racing, which is receiving official support from the German manufacturer for the first time.

Less represented in quantity, BMW is in full swing. Winner of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring with Rowe Racing two weeks ago, she won the 8 Hours of Indianapolis last weekend thanks to Walkenhorst Motorsport. The team will field two trios of official drivers to repeat its 2018 victory. All eyes will also be on the No. 6 BMW M3 GT10 of Boutsen Ginion Racing, the famous “Art Car”.

Mercedes also favors quality over quantity. Two cars are among the potential winners: the No. 4 HRT and the No. 88 AKKA ASP, candidates for the crown at the end of the season.

German manufacturers have held the key to victory since 2010, the first year without GT1s. This season, the other countries will be sharper than ever.

Ferrari perfectly symbolizes this aspect. If the Italian brand has long shunned the Ardennes classic in GT3, this period is over. Three quasi-official cars will seek victory. AF Corse and SMP Racing, present all year round in GT World Challenge, will be joined by the HubAuto team.

Lamborghini finally wants to make it happen. The Italian brand which won everything in GT World Challenge Europe last season remains fanny at Spa. It will count on the two cars from Emil Frey Racing and the car from FFF Racing.

At Bentley, still looking for a victory, three cars will compete as professionals led by the Americans from K-Pax and the French from CMR.

Engaged in the Intercontinental GT Challenge and surprise of the 2019 edition, Honda will be there with a car driven by Dane Cameron, Mario Farnbacher and Renger van der Zande.

McLaren makes its return to Spa with the 720S and the Optimum Motorsport line-up which will be able to count on Rob Bell, Joe Osborne and Ollie Wilkinson. However, they should not get involved in the fight for victory.

Aston Martin with Garage 59 and Lexus with the French team Tech 1 Racing complete the list of manufacturers with cars entered in silver and Pro-Am.

The complete list.
