AKKA-ASP and FFF Racing back in action

AKKA-ASP in Albi, FFF Racing Team in Misano, the stables of GT World Challenge Europe are gradually emerging from confinement as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Jérôme Policand's team was able to return to the track on the Albi route (Tarn), close to its Rabastens base, a session which we were able to attend. The debugging of the new chassis of the Mercedes-AMG GT3, which will be entrusted in GT World Challenge Europe to Raffaele Marciello and Timur Boguslavskiy, and a run of two Mercedes-AMG GT4s, were carried out.

The boss himself was in action at the wheel of the GT3, when Thomas Drouet was in charge of the runs with the GT4s which will be entered in FFSAGT. Breaking in the brakes, repeating pit stops were on the menu for the Albigensian day.

“As soon as the circuits were able to reopen, we immediately found solutions, if only to be accepted, Jérôme Policand told us. There could be a fear at that level. In the end, whether it was the teams, the circuit bosses… everyone made serious comments and everyone played the game.”

Another top GT3 team to have returned to the track, FFF Racing Team, which dominated the 2019 season in GT World Challenge Europe. Andrea Caldarelli's team was out on the Italian circuit of Misano, with his No. 3 Lamborghini Huracan GT63 Evo.
