The Emil Frey Racing team should play the leading roles in 2022. At least that is the objective announced through the double program announced by the Swiss structure in GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and, this is new, in ADAC GT Masters.

In the two GT3 championships, three Lamborghini Huracan GT3s will be fielded. At European level, the No. 63 will be driven by Emil Frey Racing regular Albert Costa. The Spaniard is joined by Mirko Bortolotti, straight from FFF Racing. The Italian is a big name in GT with Lamborghini, having won the Endurance Cup and the GT World Challenge Europe with the Sant'Agata Bolognese firm in 2017.

Injured at the 24 Hours of Spa in an accident while he was in his first season in the discipline, Jack Aitken returns to the Swiss team.

No. 19 will see Frenchman Arthur Rougier, Lamborghini junior driver, promoted alongside factory driver Giacomo Altoè. Another young Habs, Léo Roussel, transferred from Saintéloc Racing to Emil Frey Racing this winter. No. 14 is reserved for the Silver class for Konsta Lappalainen and Stuart White.

In ADAC GT Masters, Frenchman Franck Perera, winner of a race at Hockenheim in 2021, will be associated with Arthur Rougier to form a tricolor tandem.

“We thank Lamborghini and our partners for the trust they have placed in us and we start the new season with great motivation” commented team boss Lorenz Frey-Hilti. “I am happy that we can once again count on a strong crew for all three cars. I am convinced that we have a strong team and that we are on course for a successful season. »

Giorgio Sanna, head of motorsport at Lamborghini, added: “We are really excited and motivated to support Emil Frey Racing for the upcoming season. Emil Frey Racing is an experienced and successful team and I am convinced that, thanks to the support of Lamborghini Factory Drivers and GT3 Junior Drivers, they will be able to fight for the top places. »
