Two points. This is the tiny gap that separates Raffaele Marciello, Daniel Juncadella, and Jules Gounon, champions Endurance Cup 2022, from their runner-up, Antonio Fuoco.

Before the start of the 3 Hours of Barcelona, the final round of the GT World Challenge this season, the Italian, qualified on pole with the Ferrari No. 71 of the Iron Lynx team, was 10 lengths behind the trio of the Mercedes Akkodis ASP No. 88, who started from 8th place on the grid.

Fuoco came very close to victory, and therefore the Endurance Cup title, but the Ferrari Iron Lynx that he shared with Alessandro Pier Guidi and Alessio Rovera finally suffered the law of the Porsche 911 GT3 RN°54 from the Dinamic Motorsport team for less than 9 tenths!

In the meantime, the No. 88 Mercedes managed to climb to 5th place, securing its drivers the Endurance Cup crown, one of the two main GT World Challenge championships. Akkodis ASP is also crowned among the Teams, ahead of Iron Lynx.

Already titled individually in the overall ranking (Endurance + Sprint), Marciello adds a new line to his growing list of achievements. His teammates Juncadella and Gounon also confirm their status as big names in the GT planet. The three men had already won the 24 Hours of Spa, the flagship event of the SRO championships, last summer.

Winners of the last race of the season, Klaus Bachler, Alessio Picariello, and Matteo Cairoli (Dinamic Motorsport) are accompanied on the podium by the Iron Lynx trio Fuoco-Rovera-Pier Guidi, as well as that of the No. 63 Lamborghini of Emil Frey Racing (Mirko Bortolotti-Jack Aitken-Albert Costa).

For its last race with Audi Sport, WRT places the No. 32 Audi of Dries Vanthoor, Charles Weerts, and Ricardo Feller at the foot of the podium. Also note the 6th place of the Audi N°46 WRT entrusted to Frederic Vervisch, Valentino Rossi, and Nico Mueller, future pilot Peugeot in Hypercar.

WRT also shines in the Silver Cup category, dominated again by the No. 30 Audi of Thomas Neubauer, Benjamin Goethe, and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer, who had already won the title before the Barcelona meeting.

In the Gold Cup class, the disappointment was great for the women's trio of Iron Dames (Sarah Bovy, Michelle Gatting, and Rahel Frey), who led the race and the championship before experiencing a technical problem 20 minutes from the checkerboard. It was ultimately Frederik Schandorff, Ollie Millroy, and Brendan Iribe who won overall after their 7th place (race victory for the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes).

Finally, Dominik Baumann, Valentin Pierburg and Ian Loggie dominate the Pro-Am category with the No. 20 Mercedes of the SPS Automotive Performance team, but the title goes to the AF Corse Ferrari trio composed of Andrea Bertolini, Louis Machiels, and Stefano Costantini.
