Team WRT will not make the empty trip to GT World Challenge Europe in 2020. The Belgian structure will field no less than six Audi R8 LMS GT3 with three models in each series (Sprint and Endurance).

Vincent Vosse, the Team Principal, indicates that his plans had to be modified due to confinement and Covid-19. “We worked hard and did everything necessary to fight for the best possible places.

The pandemic is not over, we will have to live with it for a while and remain vigilant, he continues. Motorsport will be different, there will be new rules and new factors to take into account, and we will have to act responsibly and not make mistakes. »

In Sprint, two cars will be in the Pro class. The Belgians Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts (7th and 6th in 2019) will be associated, as will Kelvin van der Linde and Ryuichiro Tomita, who will make his debut in Europe. The Owega brothers, accustomed to the VLN and the German ADAC GT4, will be reunited in Silver.

On the Endurance side, hopes will be placed on big calibers like the trio Bortolotti-Ineichen-van der Linde and Mies-Vanthoor-Weerts. In Silver, Benjamin Goethe, the son of Gulf car collector Roald Goethe will be present with Rik Breukers and Stuart Hall.
