It is not only FFSAGT that AKKODIS ASP popped the winner's champagne this Sunday at Magny-Cours. A few hours after the triumph of the Drouet-Evrard duo in the French championship, the Tarn team was also celebrating in GT World Challenge Europe thanks in particular to a certain Raffaele Marciello.

In the game from the qualifications where he signed the 10e pole position of his career in GT World Challenge Europe, the Italian who now races under a Swiss license has left only the crumbs for his comrades under the Nièvre sun. In the lead after the starting signal, Raffaele Marciello was then able to begin his recital.

Fast lap after fast lap, the driver of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 No. 89 showed all his talent at the wheel of the German vehicle that he appreciates so much. After a quarter of an hour of racing, he was already pushing back his first pursuers to almost 7 seconds. Insufficient for the Italian who still had something under his belt.

Uncompromising throughout his first stint, Raffaele Marciello returned to his pits with a lead of more than 15 seconds after a little over half an hour of driving. Timur Boguslavskiy then only had to perform during the last part of the race to give the duo a 4e success together.

It was done and in style since the Russian was going to cross the finish line with practically the same lead over the other AKKODIS ASP duo, Jim Pla-Maximilian Götz, who took advantage of the 10 second penalty inflicted on the Audi R8 LMS GT3 No. 33 from Team WRT (4th at the finish) to grab a position. Saintéloc completes the podium with Aurélien Panis and Patric Niederhauser.
