Neubauer and Tech 1 still on pole at Misano

The abandonment of the day before did not undermine the morale of Tech 1 Racing. On Sunday, Thomas Neubauer left with a knife between his teeth on the Misano track, to shine during the third and final qualifying session of the weekend. He could benefit from a brand new engine, fitted by Tech 1 Racing.

From his first flying lap, the Frenchman clocked a time of 1'31''893 in his Lexus RCF GT3, six tenths ahead of everyone. Of course, the others gradually got closer, up to thirty-nine thousandths. But the clock hasn't run out. Thomas Neubauer signs a second personal pole in two qualifications. For a driver entered in the Silver category, this is quite a performance. ``It's a lot of emotions. The guys did an amazing job changing the engine last night.  he smiled.

Behind him, we find some surprises. Attempto Racing's young driver Tommaso Mosca, 20, will start second in the third race of the weekend in his Audi R8 LMS GT3.

He is ahead of two other Audis, that of Saintéloc Racing driven by Arthur Rougier and that of Team WRT, driven by Charles Weerts and Dries Vanthoor. Winner on Saturday, the Belgian duo can achieve a big result in the last two races.

The two Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evos from Emil Frey Racing, driven respectively by Giacomo Altoè and Mikael Grenier follow and can play placed.

They will leave in front of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo from AKKA-Asp, seventh in the hands of Timur Boguslavskiy. The Russian, classified Silver, had a better session than Saturday but the French team will have difficulty securing the podium, despite an excellent Raffaele Marciello.

Small disappointment at CMR since Jules Gounon in the Bentley will only start eighth. The Frenchman did not manage to have a full lap free.

In Pro-Am, pole goes to Ferrari AF Corsica by Louis Machiels.

The two races of the day will be followed live on our site. With ten cars in three tenths, they look close.
