- Akkodis ASP's victory on Saturday, in Race 1, seemed to be the turning point for the championship... but Race 2 shuffled the cards again! By winning this Sunday in Race 2, Charles Weerts and Dries Vanthoor are doing well in the title race, with their Team WRT BMW.
- The Belgian duo executed the perfect strategy. Starting 13th, stuck in the peloton in 5th place at the start of the race, the #32 BMW of Team WRT anticipated its pit stop to emerge with a free track... and to take control and seek a first victory in the Sprint Cup this season. Dries Vantthoor increases his GT World Challenge victory record with a 16th success.
- Second in the championship, Ricardo Feller and Mattia Drudi also finished 2nd in Race 2 and are 6,5 points closer to the leaders of the Sprint Cup, Raffaele Marciello and Timur Boguslavskiy. The pilots of the Mercedes #88 from Akkodis ASP failed to move up the peloton after their failed qualification on Sunday morning and finished 8th.
- The podium is completed by the Ferrari #69 of the Emil Frey Racing team driven by Albert Costa and Thomas Vermeulen.
- Maxime Martin, who started 3rd aboard the #46 Team WRT BMW, suffered a mechanical problem on the first lap after going onto the grass at the start. The Belgian was able to restart three laps behind the leaders, before finally giving up a few minutes later.
- The race was disrupted by three Safety Cars: on an incident on the first lap between the #119 Lamborghini of Marcus Paverud and the #27 Audi of Grégoire Demoustier, then twice to first clear the Porsche n°44 of Maximilian Paul, stuck in the sandbox, then the Honda n°68.
