GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup Valencia 2023 – Race 1:
- On the turnstile of the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia (Spain), the GT3 pack competed in its first race of the GT World Challenge Europe meeting in the Sprint Cup this Saturday, September 16. After a stormy start, these are the references of the discipline, Raffaele Marciello and Timur Bogulavskiy (Mercedes-AMG) who won.
- The crew of the French team AKKODIS-ASP managed by Jérôme Policand took the lead thanks to driver changes midway through the race. This is the fourth victory in 2023 for Marciello-Bogulavskiy, who consolidates his lead as championship leader.
- Despite a thunderous comeback at the end of the race, Albert Costa (Ferrari) finished less than a second behind the winners. The Spaniard, however, brings the Swiss team Emil Frey its best result of the year with the new Ferrari 296 GT3, in association with the young Dutchman Thierry Vermeulen.
Costa is absolutely hammering that Ferrari as he tries to catch Boguslavskiy.
