Guerrieri wins race 1 at the Nürburgring

There is still a Honda ahead this weekend. Tassi, Gerolami and in the first race, Esteban Guerrieri. After the reverse grid start, the Argentinian got the better of Yvan Müller upon entering the Nordschleife and took off. Behind, the first two laps saw a fight between Tom Coronel (Audi Comtoyou) and the two other strong men from Lynk & Co, Yann Ehrlacher and Thed Bjork.

They ended up passing him at the start of the last of three laps, to make it two, three and four at Cyan Racing. Even if victory is not at the end, the operation is excellent in the constructors' championship, and even in the drivers' championship since the direct competitors after the opening weekend in Zolder, Nestor Girolami and Andrea Tassi, did not does better than Yan Ehrlacher.

Girolami finished sixth on his Honda and Andrea Tassi hit the wall on the last lap, causing him to retire. The Englishman Jack Young, for his part, ended up in the gravel for the third time in four sessions this weekend. The baptism of the Nürburgring is hard for the Renault Megan.

Another big loser, Nathanaël Berthon. The Frenchman from Comtoyou Racing was due to start on pole but was penalized for not having respected a code 60. At the start, he then experienced a problem which relegated him to the back of the standings.

Jean-Karl Vernay (Team Mulsanne Alfa Romeo), finished ninth.
