IGTC – Dumas-Makowiecki-Werner with Wright at Laguna Seca

Nous l’avions déjà évoqué dans nos colonnes, la présence officielle de Porsche during the final of the Intercontinental GT Challenge at Laguna Seca (California) on the weekend of October 27 and 28, will be materialized by the entry of a Porsche 911 GT3 R via the Wright Motorsports.

The threesome Romain Dumas – Frédéric Makowiecki – Dirk Werner had contested the first rounds of the season in the car operated by Manthey Racing, but Wright Motorsports was preferred to the structure founded by Olaf Manthey for this trip across the Atlantic.

“This will be my second time competing with Wright Motorsports and it was a very good experience last year, comments Dumas. Unfortunately we didn't finish the race last year.

The first objective this year will therefore be to finish and be competitive until the end. I'm also very happy to try a different car and team: to see a different setup. »

Note that Frédéric Makowiecki, already winner of the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and Petit Le Mans, could add another great result to his impressive 2018 season, also marked by a second place in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
