Two weeks after the finish of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, the ADAC announced the disqualification of the Porsche 911 GT3 R No. 911 from Team Manthey which took second place behind the Audi R8 LMS from Team Phoenix of Kaffer-Stippler-Vervisch-D. Vanthoor.
The Weissach mount entrusted to Kévin Estre, Michael Christensen, Earl Bamber and Laurens Vanthoor did not respect the Balance of Performance in terms of engine power, exceeding the required 494hp with the tolerance margin of 4%. Despite the team's request to take further measurements, the commissioners got the same results.
Consequently, it is the Mercedes-AMG of Team Black Falcon entrusted to Maxi Buhk, Hubert Haupt, Thomas Jäger and Luca Stolz who took second place, while the new podium is completed by the Audi of the Team Car Collection of Markus Winkelhock, Christopher Haase, Marcel Fässler and René Rast.
The results still remain provisional, with Team Manthey having four days to appeal the decision.
