Porsche #912 in charge at the Nürburgring

Manthey Racing retains the lead at the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring with four hours to go, but the ranking did not change during the night when the rain arrived. While Porsche No. 911 was leading the race, his hopes of victory were shattered following an exit from the track by Romain who lost control of his 911 GT3 R while overtaking a competitor.

It is now the sister car No. 912 currently driven by Frédéric Makowiecki which leads the race with around three minutes ahead of the Mercedes-AMG n°4 of Team Black Falcon entrusted to Maro Engel while the weather remains rainy above the Green Hell.

The provisional podium was completed by the No. 8 Audi R1 LMS of Team Land, but Kelvin van der Linde damaged his mount after suffering a puncture in the 19th hour of the race. Nicki Thiim was the first to take advantage behind the wheel of theAston Martin Vantage n°7 which precedes two other Mercedes Black Falcons with the n°5 driven by Yelmer Buurman preceding the n°6 of Gabriele Piana.
