Larry Ten Voorde provisional winner of the Porsche Cup Le Mans

Sous la pluie, la Porsche Carrera Cup a donné un spectacle à rebondissement sur le Circuit de la Sarthe. Larry Ten Voorde est sorti vainqueur du joyeux bazar… provisoirement.

13 minutes from the end of the race, a double yellow flag at the second Hunaudières chicane disrupted the entire peloton of 50 cars. At the front, Loek Hartog (Bas Koeten Racing) and Ten Voorde  (Nebulus Racing) stood side by side in a fight for first place. Hartog stalled the moment he saw the double yellow flag, Ten Voorde took the opportunity to pass. Was he already ahead at that point? The commissioners will decide after the race.

The maneuver in any case greatly destabilized Hartog, who tumbled down the rankings and harpooned Jaxon Evans. The New Zealander has given up and is losing big in the lead-up to the championship

At the end of the race, Larry Ten Voorde came under pressure from Leon Kohler (T3/HRT) during the restart of a second safety car, which had freed the drivers for one lap. The German missed the Porsche corners and Ten Voorde was able to take advantage of his victory on the track.

The French in all this? Starting from pole, Florian Latorre (CLRT) lost places throughout the race until finishing 13th. Marvin Klein, for his part, moved up from 10th to fourth place, to take second position in the Carrera Cup France behind the Turkish Ayhancan Güven, who has a good option in the championship. Adam Eteki ranks sixth.

The complete ranking.
