Without being as involved as in WEC or WRC, Toyota Gazoo Racing has been taking part in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring for 13 years. 2020 will mark the 14th consecutive participation of the competition department of the Japanese brand, which will field a Lexus LC for the third time.
A car that will evolve compared to the version seen in 2019. A new twin-turbo V8 engine will be on board, while the exterior will also be reworked with improved aerodynamic components, all contributing to a reduction in total weight and better general rigidity. .
Toyota Gazoo Racing hopes to no longer spend the “many avoidable hours in the pits to resolve problems”. As for the drivers, Super GT and Super Formula regulars Hiroaki Ishiura and Kazuya Oshima will be assisted by Masahiro Sasaki and Naoya Gamo.
