Summary of Saturday's races in the Ultimate Cup Series in Dijon

Single seat of course 2 : Konstantin Lachenauer wins for the second time this weekend.

It’s the return to the Dijon-Prenois circuit for the Ultimate Cup Series. And what could be better than starting with single-seaters: at the end of a twenty-lap stint from start to finish, Konstantin Lachenauer (Team Graff) won in race 2. The Swiss driver allowed himself at the same time to set the best lap in the race (1'14.504). He is ahead of the two Frenchmen Adrien Chila (Team Graff) and Pierre-Albert Fussela (Lamo Racing).

As a reminder, Lachenauer also won yesterday in race 1, this time ahead of his compatriot Christophe Hurni (Sports Promotion).

GT Sprint race 2 : Marc Waechter in force

At the end of an eventful race 2, Marc Waechter (G2 Racing AG) won in GT Sprint. The Swiss driver avoided the pitfalls of the Dijon circuit, and is ahead of Maxime Mainguy and Victor Shaytar.

The first part of the race was marked by an exit from the track. The GT Sprint category cars will return to the track at 15 p.m. for race 3.

GT Sprint race 3: Marc Waechter again

The GT Sprint category cars find themselves on the starting grid for the second time of the day. Marc Waechter (G2 Racing AG) won for the second time of the day.

Marc Waechter (G2 Racing AG) starts in the lead after his victory in race 2 in the morning. The Swiss driver is closely followed by Alex Marchois (MV2S Racing) who passes him at the start of the second lap. The leading trio is made up of Alex Marchois, Marc Waechter and Maxime Mainguy (Breizh Motorsport 56). The race was quickly marked by a collision between François Denis (Speed Car) and Marie Baus (JSB), and the safety car regime was invoked by the track marshals. The race is temporarily neutralized.

At the restart, Marc Waechter regained the lead of the race thanks to a muscular overtake on Alex Marchois, who dropped back to third position after being passed by Maxime Mainguy. The leading trio are 23 seconds apart with eight minutes remaining.

Marc Waechter wins after leading the entire second half of the race. Maxime Mainguy finished second and Alex Marchois third.

Mitjet 2 race: Jankavicius wins for the second time of the day.

After Race 1 won by Jankavicius Povilas (Arctic Energy), Sébastien Seveau (Generation Stunt) was not going to admit defeat. The French driver quickly climbed into first position in the race, but Jankavicius passed him again after the third lap of the race. Behind, Julien de Miguel, Guillaume Bruot (Mirage Racing) and Romain Iannetta (Team Spirit Event) closely follow the leading duo. Sébastien Seveau took the opportunity to set the best lap in the provisional race (1’32.094).

Halfway through the race, Romain Iannetta managed to climb onto the third step of the podium, but quickly fell back to fifth place in the provisional ranking, leaving the way clear for Julien De Miguel. The rest of the rankings are unchanged, but the gaps between the competitors are only shrinking. Seven minutes from the end, the leading quartet (composed of Jankavicius, Seveau, De Miguel and Bruot) engaged in a very good fight. The four competitors go so far as to collide in line in the first turn.

Five minutes from the end, Sébastien Seveau is still fighting for first place. For his part, Julien De Miguel climbs to third place. Guillaume Bruot drops to sixth place, while Fabien Perdu moves to fourth. Povilas Jankavicius won the race, followed by Sébastien Seveau who also set the third time and Julien De Miguel who performed well by getting on the podium.

Single-seater race 3 : and three for Lachenauer!

The single-seaters set off for the second time today on the track of the Dijon-Prenois circuit. Konstantin Lachenauer won for the third time this weekend.

Konstantin Lachenauer (Team Graff) and his teammate Adrien Chila start in the lead. They are followed by Christophe Hurni (Sports Promotion) and Xavier Bennechi (Formula Motorsport).

The start becomes crowded, and the leading trio (Lachenauer, Chila and Hurni) remains unchanged. Éric Trouillet (Team Graff) manages to climb into fourth position by overtaking Xavier Bennechi in the straight. For his part, Konstantin Lachenauer recorded the best time in the provisional lap (1’14.862).

The gaps widen at the start of the fourth round. Adrien Chila, second in the race, is 2.448 seconds behind Konstantin Lachenauer. The rest of the lead in the race is, however, very compact (five seconds separate the first five positions). Frédéric Boillot, the red lantern, is 42 seconds behind the race leader.

Fourteen minutes from the end, Lachenauer widens the gap with Chila a little further. The two drivers are separated by 4,3 seconds. The ranking changes little, and Konstantin Lachenauer still consolidates his lead two minutes from the end of the race.

The Swiss driver won the race having led the 20 laps of the race from start to finish. A more than successful weekend for the young prodigy from the Graff team, since he won all the single-seater races. Adrien Chila and Christophe Hurni complete the podium.
