Macau WTCC – Yvan Muller satisfied despite everything

Yvan Muller puts things into perspective. Although he lost his world title to Rob Huff this weekend, he nevertheless managed to win in Macau. “I think I lost the championship in Shanghai”, where the Chevrolet driver retired during a heat, before finishing 13th, penalized after his collision with Alain Menu. “It's good for me to end the season by winning for the first time in Macau. I could have done it in the past, but for some reasons it didn't happen. »

The Alsatian of course congratulated his British teammate, new Drivers' world champion. “Well done Rob! He?s a good winner, he deserved to be champion?. He also had a word for the members of his team with whom he has just raced for the last time, the Chevrolet team withdrawing from the WTCC as an official manufacturer. “Congratulations to the Chevy boys. I had a good time with them and I will keep very good memories of it for the rest of my life. »

By finishing third in the Drivers' standings, Yvan Muller finished on the podium for the sixth consecutive year, having been twice vice-champion and three times world champion.
