NASCAR – Joey Logano sees triple at Bristol

The club of drivers with three victories this season grew last night in Bristol, during the Tennessee night race. Joey Logano dominated the end of the race to win ahead of his teammate Brad Keselowski for a nice double for the Penske team, definitely in good spirits this weekend. Logano notably overtook Matt Kenseth (Joe Gibbs Racing) with just under 45 laps to go to take control of the race and cruise to victory. Kenseth is still looking for his first victory this season, and had tried not to return to the pits after a final interruption. He thus took the lead at the expense of Jamie Mc Murray (Team Ganassi), leader for a long time, but who lost all hope of victory after his stop.

Behind the two Penske drivers, we find Kenseth, Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports) and Kurt Busch (Stewart-Haas Racing) for the top 5. Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports) only finished 16th but had more success than his teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr. Caught in a collision with Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing) caused by contact between the latter, then leader and the No. 4 Chevrolet SS of Kevin Harvick, Dale Jr was forced to retire just like Hamlin who threw his Hans at Harvick's car a few moments later.

Danica Patrick (Stewart-Haas Racing) finished 27th, while Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) once again had a complicated race and only took 36th place, after being involved in the first crash with Aric Almirola and Clint Bowyer.
