Nascar – Ryan Blaney will join Penske in 2018

Team Penske has just announced that it will enter a third Ford Fusion in Nascar Cup Series from 2018. The third car will be entrusted to Ryan Blaney, the current resident of Wood Brothers Racing who has a technical partnership with the “Captain” team.

Ryan Blaney is currently playing his third season in the Nascar Cup Series where he scored his first victory this year at Pocono (Pennsylvania).

“This is a great opportunity for my career, comments Ryan Blaney, 2014 runner-up in the Nascar Truck Series, who will drive the No. 12 Ford alongside those entered with Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski. Ryan Blaney made his first start in the Nascar Cup Series with Team Penske before joining the satellite team.

Paul Menard will replace Ryan Blaney at Wood Brothers Racing next year after seven years in the No. 27 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing.
